1) ITU - Video Art Production Project - Tuuli Penttinen-Lampisuo
ITU was an independent, non-profit production project created for visual artists. The production company of ITU is Artists' Association MUU. The producer is Tuuli Penttinen-Lampisuo from The Arts Council of Satakunta. Videos were co-produced with YLE - Finnish Broadcasting Company and The Arts Council of Satakunta. The videos are distributed by AV-arkki, the distribution centre for Finnish media art.
ITU Project was made possible by the diverse and long lasting funding. Throughout the years of 2004 - 2006 the ITU Project and the artists have been supported by: AVEK / Veli Granö & Milla Moilanen, Greta and William Lehtinen Foundation, Alfred Kordelin Foundation, Ministry of Education, Paulo Foundation, Arts Council of Satakunta, Finnish Cultural Foundation, Finnish Cultural Foundation's Uusimaa Fund, Finnish Cultural Foundation's Satakunta Fund, Foundation for Swedish Culture in Finland, Arts Council of Finland, VISEK, ViSiO, YLE / Sari Volanen.
In this house, in these rooms exhibitions were at Rauma Art Museum in 2006 and at MUU Gallery in 2007 in, organized with the View07 Festival.
2) LINNA THEATRE - Henni Sairanen
Producer Henni Sairanen gave a presentation about producing theatre and how they do it in Linna Theatre. Keywords: ticket sales, production model, new ways of thinking, producing for children, taking risks and especially taking care of people.
3) INTERNATIONAL MEETING POINT - Kirsi Paavilainen & Yana Herrala
At Satakunnan Monikulttuuriyhdistys - Multicultural Association of Satakunta we were hosted by substitute supervisor of activities Kirsi Paavilainen who told about the activities of the association in general. Many Cultures, One Voice. Online Radio Station UusJussi was presented by assistant project coordinator Yana Herrala. We heard about the project and about the work of producing radio programs. Openess to new ideas and cooperation was emphasized by both speakers.
4) SKILLPIXELS - Harri Ketamo
At our visit, founder and Chief Scientist Harri Ketamo presented us the math learning game SkillPixels where children teach their virtual pets to do maths. Key words: learning, cognitive skills, playing, winning, The Finnish school system, PISA, internet business, statistics, ethics.
